Farmer's Market in Memorial ParkThe selection of products is growing thanks to David and Mickey Miller, the volunteer market coordinators, who manage a loose coalition of producers that continues to evolve.  David also grows fruits and vegetables for his business Pure Prairie Gardens, in addition to authoring an entertaining weekly email. For more information about the market call David or Mickey at 319-310-6399.

Jean Smith and Ray Bures from Ely bring their baked goods and hand-made (from scratch) kolaches fresh from the oven.  Kroul Farm Garden & Greenhouse, Evelyn Walshire from Mechanicsville, Lois Pavelka, Ann Booth and many others also participate.  But to truly take advantage of this market, take the time to talk to the vendors who love what they do, and ask about their products.  That's all part of the fun.  You'll be sure to learn about the many wonderful things grown or made locally.

The Farmer's Market is open early May through October, depending on product availability and weather.  From November through April, there are monthly sales indoors.  Stop by and sign-up for the weekly email newsletter so you don't miss this fantastic marketplace.
