| SauerKraut Days to be featured on Frank's Sauerkraut can label |

Lisbon, Iowa’s Sauerkraut Days has earned a space on the Frank’s Sweet Bavarian Kraut can label, as part of Frank’s “Making Life Sweet” photo campaign. As part of the campaign, the Frank’s Sauerkraut Web site encourages sauerkraut lovers to “Take your best shot – and make the Frank’s label!” One of those who took Frank’s challenge seriously is Lisbon, Iowa, resident Megan Dietsch, who submitted a photograph of herself and four colleagues preparing to march in the local Sauerkraut Days Parade, dressed as cans of Frank’s Sauerkraut. A panel of judges picked Dietsch’s photo as one that “best represents people making life sweet with Frank’s Traditional and Sweet Sauerkraut.” The winning label and caption says this: “This gang makes life sweet by expressing their love for Frank’s Sweet Kraut at the annual Lisbon, IA Sauerkraut Days. The handmade costumes by these self proclaimed “cabbage heads” are worn to show their pride for Frank’s in the annual parade. Pick up a can and join the party. L-R Sharon Reinken, Julie Light, Cathy Jordan, Megan Dietsch and Bob Hill.” “We are thrilled that the panel of judge’s chose us,” said Dietsch. “I think the picture says it all -- how much fun that five adults can have dressed as cans of Sauerkraut. I can’t wait to pull those costumes out again this year at the Sauerkraut Days Parade!” Sauerkraut Days, Lisbon’s annual celebration of small-town fun, will take place Wednesday through Saturday, August 10 through 13, on Lisbon’s Main Street, along the historic Lincoln Highway. The label (and cans) of Frank’s Sauerkraut will be arriving at a supermarket near you soon, in time for the August celebration.
