Only six years old, the Lincoln Café and chef Matt Steigerwald have received critical acclaim for innovative dishes using fresh, local ingredients. The Lincoln Café has been featured in magazines and newspapers all over the country, including O Magazine (May 2004), the New York Times Travel Section (July 9, 2004) Better Homes & Garden (Aril 2006) and Midwest Living (April 2006).

If it is antiques you like, try out Fuel/Nest, a hip coffeehouse and art/antique store in one. Tommie Ouverson’s store has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens for it’s creative display of unique antique items.

Eric Krob, owner of Hawkeye Flooring/Elite Stone Fabrications , has received international recognition for one of his specialties, terrazzo flooring. Renowned for quality products and exceptional customer service, Eric has received three awards from the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association, which has members from the U.S., Puerto Rico and Spain: the 2001 top 10 award for Iowa State’s Hawthorne Court; 2002 Honorable Mention for the Iowa State 4-H Building; and the 2005 Honorable Mention for the Moorhead State University Science Building.
