Nearly 40 Iowa artists will transform Mount Vernon’s First Street into an enormous art gallery. First Street is part of the historic Lincoln Highway, located in the heart of Iowa’s Cultural Corridor.

The Lincoln Highway Arts Festival is a wonderful family event. Docent-led walking tours will highlight not only the history of the Lincoln Highway, but Mount Vernon’s three National Historic Districts, as well.

We encourage you to make a day of it, shopping in Mount Vernon’s many unique specialty and antique stores. When you’re hungry, you can purchase some kettle corn, grab some coffee at one of our charming coffee houses, or have lunch at one of our excellent restaurants.
