The Mount Vernon Historic Preservation Commission has announced details of their spring preservation seminar. The events will be held on Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Mount Vernon City Hall. Admission is free.
Presentations will include a history of Mount Vernon and its architectural heritage by Rev. Dick Thomas, historian; Preservation Do's and Don'ts and the Design Review Process presented by Ed Sauter, local architect and chairman of the Commission; and Resources for Preservation, delivered by Guy Booth, Commission member and owner of structures in the Commerical and Ash Park historic districts.
Narrated walking tours of the historic districts will be offered following lunch (on your own) from 1 - 3 p.m.
