The Cornell Wind Ensemble and Orchestra will perform Friday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. in King Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Wind Ensemble’s program features Sergei Prokofieff’s March Op. 99, Howard Hanson’s Symphony No. 2 “Romantic” (Op. 30), Percy Aldridge Grainger’s “Handel in the Strand,” and Norman Dello Joio’s “Satiric Dances.” T
he Orchestra’s program features Incidental Music for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Op. 61, No. 1, by Felix Medelssohn-Bartholdy, and Franz Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 “London.”
The Wind Ensemble and Orchestra are directed by Martin Hearne, professor of music.
