Local coaches are joining forces with the Mount Vernon Parks and Rec department to present "coaching our children."

This is a free event designed to help parents enhance the personal development opportunities athletics provides their children.

Childcare, by Cornell student athletes, will be available in the middle school gym.

Program speakers include Brent Base, head women's basketball coach at Cornell; Steve Devries, professor in the Kinesiology department at Cornell; and Duane Orr, head football coach at MVHS.
