“Uptown Thursday Nights is the revival of a tradition that had started to die out in Mount Vernon," said Sara Gaarde of the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development retail promotion subcommittee. “In years past Thursday nights were busy in Mt. Vernon. We are working hard to bring Thursday Night community spirit and shopping back,” she added.
The promotion is being chaired by Kim Wolfe of Wolfe’s Antiques. “Uptown Thursday Nights” will continue until Christmas. Specials offered will vary by store, and merchant's will help you enjoy the offerings by having themes each week, so the spirit of fun will be everywhere! Also featuring live music at the Lincoln Wine Bar.
