History and art converge Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., as more than 30 local and regional artists bring their original art to Mount Vernon, Iowa, to exhibit along the historic Lincoln Highway.
The Lincoln Highway Arts Festival is a wonderful family event. Docent-led walking tours will highlight not only the history of the Lincoln Highway, but Mount Vernon’s three National Historic Districts, as well.
We encourage you to make a day of it, shopping in Mount Vernon’s many unique specialty and antique stores. When you’re hungry, you can purchase some kettle corn, grab some coffee at one of our charming coffee houses, or have lunch at one of our excellent restaurants.
The Lincoln Highway Arts Festival is sponsored by the Mount Vernon Area Arts Council.
