Magnificient art in a beautiful setting! Held in Memorial Park during Heritage Days, this juried art show and sale features hand made art of several types- from pottery to sculpture, photography to hand made beaded jewelry. Come visit with the artists themselves and learn about their inspiration. In addition to the art sale, there is entertainment in the Gazebo located in the center of the park. Vocalists, musicians and a local children's theater group will perform throughout the day. Come join us for this fun , free, family-oriented event. Saturday, July 12, 2008, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

2008 Artist Application

Art in the Park, a juried one day art show that takes place July 12th, 2008, during Mt. Vernon's city festival called Heritage Days, is seeking additional artists to display hand original work. Art must be appropriate for heavy family attendance. Booth spaces are 12 x 12' in a park environment. White tents/canopies are suggested. Booth rent fee is $50. Jury fee is $10. No jurying required for previously accepted artists. Vocalists/improv/musicians Art in the Park, a juried one day art show that takes place July 12th, 2008, during Mt. Vernon's city festival called Heritage Days, is seeking performers for entertainment during the art show. Performances will be held in our large Gazebo in the center of the park. Seeking performances conducive to environment where artists will be explaining their work. A family event. Sound system provided. Stipends ranging from $75-$125 for one hour performance.
