The Lisbon Public Library is located in an historic (1875) storefront building at the intersection of South Washington and East Main Streets in downtown Lisbon, Iowa.  Housing a collection of over 10,000 printed materials, videotapes, DVDs, audiotapes and CDs, the library serves a population of 1,900 within the city limits and also rural populations of Linn and surrounding counties.

The citizens of nearby Mount Vernon and other communities are also welcome to use the library.  Besides a variety of circulating materials, the library also offers many services and programs to all age groups.  It also has a copy/fax machine and an Internet-connected computer for public use.
