Cole Library is Mount Vernon's official public library in addition to serving Cornell College.  Located on Cornell's campus, the library offers a huge assortment of items, from on-line databases to books, magazines, tapes, DVDs and journals.

The library hosts many community events such as Story Hour, Family Night, Young Adult Book Group, Community Readers, Cole Community Night and the Life Long Learning series.  In addition, Cole offers web services and readings by local and national writers and artists.
